Nobody Is Coming to Save You

I did not have the easiest childhood growing up. Nothing was given to me on a silver platter. In fact, I had a rough start in life. If you have already heard my story you know my upbringing was very difficult. But that’s not the point of this episode. I share this with you so you can see where I came from and where I am now.

At a young age I decided that what had happened to me was not going to ruin my life, even as a 13 year old girl. This is a mentality I adopted early on and one I have taken on in my adulthood, which has dictated my ability to overcome adversity and achieve all that I have. I realized early on that nobody was going to save me, and that I had to be my own hero.

This the topic of today’s podcast; why it is so important to take full ownership of your own life. All of this starts with the choices we make each and every day. We either take actions that move us closer towards our goals, or we make excuses, waste time, or feel sorry for ourselves because life hasn’t gone our way. It all comes down to a choice, and the choices we make are determined by our mind, our most productive weapon in life.
