Probably the #1 thing I’m asked as a business coach for women is how to get more done during the day. My answer is simple and always the same. You have to be more effective and less “busy”.
Here’s the deal. Only about 10% of what’s on your to do list will actually make a big difference in your business. If you have ever spent the day running around with your fanny on fire, only to collapse into bed that night and feel like you accomplished very little, you KNOW what I’m talking about.
To be truly EFFECTIVE in your day requires the clarity on what you want to get done and the discipline to stay focused until it’s complete. That can be tough with a to-do list a million miles long so that’s why you take 10-15 minutes each morning to sit down and plan out your day.
It’s super easy to make excuses of why you don’t want to take this time. But when you do the entire day will run much more smoothly. You’ll still be busy, but at the end you will have accomplished the most important stuff FIRST. Those items are the biggies which will yield you the greatest results long term.
